Happy Halloween! It is already the last day of the month! And it is Halloween! Anyone celebrated Halloween over the weekend? Where I stay, Halloween is not a hugely celebrated event however, there were some parties here and there…. after all, people do look for excuses to find the opportunity to drink and catch up with friends, right?

Did Lan Ning successfully got Yan Ru Yu aka Teacher Xing Xin to submit his manuscript? She actually went over to his place as requested by him. Cheeky Yan Ru Yu! Did he misses her that much to try this way to see her? Hahahahaha

Happy Sunday everyone! (It is Sunday where I am). Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine is almost over…. Time does seems to fly now…. I am barely catching up with the time and all my to do task list… sigh. 

For those of you whom have been looking forward to the daily post, with the speed of my translation recently, I guess it is almost impossible already. I sincerely apologies for not being able to live up to that expectation. Never the less, whenever time permits, I will try my level best. That is a promise! 

It will take time for me to get use to the author writing style and with the limited time on hand that I have recently, I am finding it hard to catch the writing style hence translation speed is also slower now 😦

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Please do enjoy this pretty entertaining read for today.

TGIF! Finally the week is over! It had indeed been a super busy, hectic, crazy and frustrating week for me at work. So glad that the weekend is finally here and I can finally rest my mind. And of course do some translations! Oh how I miss Lan Ning….

No sign of Yan Ru Yu in today’s post. It is a refreshing and calm evening spend between Lan Ning, her friends, Ye Cheng and his band members.

Happy Thursday! Apologies to those whom were trying to read this post earlier. There were some hiccups and silly me, mhryu whom went to delete the wrong scheduled post resulting in the empty post earlier. 

This is unfortunately the last post that I have prepared for this week. Work had been so crazily busy, I had not have any opportunity to work on the chapter 13 of Finding Glowing Beauty in Books (书中自有颜如玉) unfortunately. I will however, try to get the next post ready soon.

Last Wednesday, we had a cliff-hanging ending… Damn… What a long wait… So glad that finally today, Xiao Bei and Yifan is back!

Happy Birthday Tinkerbellsan

15 years ago, I called back one of the organization where I was offered a job to turn down the offer. And I spoke to the girl whom picked up the phone. The sweet voice over the other end of the phone sounded very disappointed about me turning down the offer stating how eager and excited she was looking forward to me joining to be part of their team.

After the call, I flew out of the country for a short holiday. Upon arriving into the country, I received a call where the organization counter offered with a different position.

Upon returning to the country, I called them back to check on the new offer and subsequently took up the offer. And several days later, I joined the organization.

I could still clearly remember the first day walking into the organization. I met with this small petite girl whom was so excited when she saw me, coming up to me excitedly and extended a very warm greetings. The happiness on her face was stunning. And to those around us whom did not know, would have thought that we have been friends for years.

That is the start of my friendship with Tinkerbellsan. We were colleagues for several years as we move up the ladder from an associate to managers through 2 different organization.

She then decided to expand her experience by choosing to work in another country while I stayed back as I have a family. Across the seas, our friendship remains strong as we speak to each other almost daily. The strong bond in our relationship strengthen as we missed each other, fight and make up over the phone / web. And we also travel for holiday together as often as our time permits.

It is exactly 15 years since we started our friendship. Today, our relationship are stronger than just being BFF. She is my pillar of support, my family and my sister. Someone whom I would turn to without hesitation as I know that she will always be my support and shoulder to cry on.

Thank you Tinkerbellsan for the years of support and friendship.

Chapter 12.1 – Finding Glowing Beauty in Books (书中自有颜如玉)

After a week long break, Lan Ning is finally back today! However, without Teacher Xing Xin. Taking off where we left off last chapter, Lan Ning met unexpectedly with her ex-boyfriend, Yu Mu Yuan. 

So, what happen next with Mu Yuan? Is he going to be new rival for Yan Ru Yu? Or Yan Ru Yu would be arriving to her rescue at the place where she least expected it?

Announcement – Schedule Changes

With the ending of Caught in my Own Trap (作茧自缚) finally, there will be a change in the posting schedule.

As I have mentioned before, this time of the year is the busiest month for me at work. Hence, I would have limited time to spend on translation. However, I would definitely try to keep to the set schedule as much as time and energy would permits me. In the meantime, please bear with us while we continue to bring exciting read to everyone.

Caught in my Own Trap (作茧自缚) : Epilogue 3, Part 33 (FINAL)

We finally reached the end of Caught in my Own Trap (作茧自缚) : Epilogue 3. And I have decided to stop the translation of this novel here. 

Thank you so much everyone for the support in my first translation project. The journey have been long. A total of 7 months. It was a new experience for me, a non-chinese reader whom decided to try the art of ‘translation’. It was fun and at times, frustrating. Never tiring though as I had truly enjoyed the journey. I definitely would not have been able to complete this journey without the support of all the readers out there. And not forgetting the encouragement and support of tinkerbellsan. 

Tomorrow, Lan Ning and Yan Ru Yu would be back. I cannot promise a daily post as before. Am sure most of you are aware, year-end is usually the busiest time for me at work. So, I will try to keep to the schedule as much as possible and I believe that all of you would understand if there would occasionally be missing daily post here and there…

Caught in my Own Trap (作茧自缚) : Epilogue 3, Part 32

Happy Sunday everyone! Apologies for the delay in this post. It had been an extremely tiring week last week for me at work. Both physically and mentally. So come Friday night, I literally crashed in the early evening, catching up on my sleep. Guess, mentally, my brain just could not take it anymore and decided to shut down, putting me into sleep both Friday evening and full day of Saturday away…. Hehehe…. 

Today, yes, we are at the 2nd last post on Zhong Lian Chen and Cheng Shao Rong. It is a very entertaining and funny short chapter. So enjoy the read today! And tomorrow, they will be back with the final chapter before we officially close Caught in my Own Trap (作茧自缚). 

And on Tuesday onward, Lan Ning and Yan Ru Yu will be back, finally! I will then only concentrate on translating that till the end.
